What does everyone think about Drew Carey being the new host on the Price is Right? I still don't believe there is noone better than Bob Barker. I am glad that it will be Drew Carey and not Rosie O'Donnell. If Rosie O'Donnell was the host I doubt that I would ever again watch the show.

No one can ever replace Bob Barker, but Drew's a MUCH better choice then Rosie O'Donnell. I would have prefered the host to be John O'Hurley or George Hamiliton(who were also supposed to be in the running) but Drew's a funny guy with a lot of fans and he'll probably be able to do a decent job.

Frankly, I don't think ANYONE can follow the legendary Bob Barker (much less Drew Carey; I was very disappointed to learn he'd been chosen to succeed Mr. Barker on TPIR - there HAD to have been a better choice). CBS would have done much better to cancel The Price Is Right now and have it end with dignity rather than have it waste away, as it surely will without Bob.

I don't know. After I heard about John O'Hurley interested in it I had my sights set on him. His voice and stature would have fit that show nicely. But maybe Drew Carey will be an underdog and do better than most would expect. An acquired taste, I suppose. But anyone would have been better than Rosie O'Donnell even the muted showcase women that do not talk but just stand there and point at the objects. But instead of objects they can just point at the people who will come on down and point at the wheel to what they landed on.

Hehe, before I saw one of the new episodes, I thought that Drew would do a good job... but just a couple of days ago I saw one for the first time, and for about half the show he sounded really really bored. It seemed to me that he took it all as a big joke and wasn't really doing the best he could for the show. All that aside, I am an avid Bob Barker dis-fan and would rather see Drew's bored amusement than Barker's conceited contempt.

I love Drew Carey, and think he will do a fine job. But nobody will ever do it like Bob Barker did. That show had a nice long run, they should have retired it with Bob.

I don't think Drew Carey is boring enough to be the host of Price Is Right...

I LOVE DREW!!! But I think an older person would be better for that job. There is a LOT OF OLDER FOLKS WHO watch the show, and they would feel more comfortable with someone like from the 50's. The format of the show is kind of old format.

I'm sure the little ol ladies will love him. I think he will take it very seriously and do a fine job. A tall order as Bob Barker is what you think of when you think of the Price Is Right. I hope they don't change the set or anything.
