Well this is July 24th, 4 to 6 weeks from now it will be September, even IF he does come back he will not be even close to 100%, if you are a playoff contender in your league then drop him and find a replacement, if your team is in last or close to it and you see no chance in making it to the post season then you can throw him on the DL. A broken wrist is a tough injury to come back from so thats my opinion.

Yeah, you should probably dump him. If you can pick up Matt Kemp (LAD), you should. He is widely available in Yahoo leagues and has been hitting .350 this week with 2 hrs. Another option, if he is available is Milton Bradley, who is hitting .333 with 3 hr this past week. I would expect Kemp to keep up with these numbers more than Bradley, but Bradley is an option also.
The problem with Pence is that he will be out until your playoffs start. If you could fall out of the playoff race, you should replace him. When he comes back, he may also slump, being out so long.

Yeah think about it, it's pretty much august, you'll prolly get him back for last weeks of season. Houston stinks balls. Go get a quality replacement, many out there that are performing at his level. Victorino is still avail. in my league. etc...
alternative, I always like having a DLer on my team to go out and get that guy that I normally wouldn't drop a player for to take a chance on how he's playing short term.

Yeah, why would you? Far too often people make the mistake of cutting a guy loose just because he hits a bit of a slump. Everyone hits a lull throughout the season. Just ride it out and see what happens. You might end up kicking yourself if you cut him loose and he finds his groove again for someone else's team in your league.
Just bench him for the time being if you have someone else on your roster who is hitting well.

put him on the DL so you can pick someone else up, and then when he gets off the DL you still have him

Why would you want to do that? How can you not be happy with the numbers he is putting up for you?
