As has been noted, Bonds has never been in violation of the rules and perhaps even contributed to the competitve nature of the enterprise. In the conversation of HOF consideration, Bonds is a given, while McGwire seems to be the red-headed step child. Sosa might be on the fence.

Should all three be in the HOF? If not provide an arguement against election

Bonds will make it no doubt. His 70 home run record and his soon to be passing of Hank Aaron's old record, will seal the deal for his entrance into the HOF. McGwire may go into the HOF just for his breaking the original home run record of 61. Sosa could squeeze in the door if his power numbers continuew to rise. After all, the man has hit over 600 home runs, an accomplishment in itself. Just depends how he finishes his career. If Sosa continues to play and puts up decent numbers, somebody may have a soft spot for him. I'd vote all three if it were up to me.

Frankly if I felt their numbers justified them being in, I would say all. But I don't think Mark nor Sosa have the "overall" numbers to get in. Yes, they swung a big bat but big deal. Bonds in his prime did it all, 5-Tool. Mark is on the fence and Sosa has no shot in my opinion. I think Bonds is a lock, McGwire will eventually be voted in, and Sosa will be left out.

YOU ALSO FORGOT SEASONS PLAYED IN YOUR LITTLE LIST THERE. THAT'S A BIG DEAL IN DETERMINING HOW THE STATS WERE COMPILED.

Also, as far as the corked bat incident, Sosa got caught but apparently the team had a lot of corked bats in stock. The MLB informed the team of their knowledge and the team got rid of the bats. I don't fully blame Sosa for that incident but the whole team.

McGuire didn't do anything illegal. However, he may not make it because he was not an overall great player, neither was Sosa. Barry Bonds, if it's not proven he did steroids, will make HOF. His overall no.'s are good. He used to be fast, both in feilding and base stealing. But he got too big. Homeruns are the lazy way to score runs. You trot, not run.

McGwire might make it into the Hall of Fame in the future. The writers weren't going to vote anyone into the Hall other than Cal Ripkin and Tony Gwynn this year.

Until it is proven or admitted that any of them violated any policy or took any banned substance I would vote for them.
