Do you know it is the DSL service or is it your router? It sounds more like a router problem - due to poor firmware.

Remove the router and connect a pc directly to modem (reboot both devices). If the service does not time out, it is a router problem - probably fixed by downloadig and installing the latest firmware from the web site of the maker. If the service times out without router connected, call the ISP as something is wrong there.

depends what you have to reboot.
if PC - problem with PC
if dsl modem - call internet provider.
(more details wouldnt hurt.......)

I would probably try a virus scan, and if that doesnt work, take it to Circuit City or something.
