I saw a movie when I was really little and I am looking for it now but I can't remember what it was. All I remember is that a mentally retarded guy saves this little from some dogs and when he carrys her home everyone thinks the guy was the one that hurt her. They killed him and he came back to haunt them. Can someone please help me find this movie.

...with such extraordinary performances, compelling story, and right-to-the-bone chilling atmosphere....kinda makes one wonder why this movie played for television, and not the the big screen...

i have seen the movie you speak of and it is not the green mile. In the green mile the little girl was raped and killed. the movie your thinking of could be pumpkin head but am not sure. not the green mile though
