Well, congratulations. That is what Hugo Chavez is doing in Venezuela. It's nice to know that neo-cons have a lot in common with a facist government.

Nope. One of our most precious liberties is the ability to say what we think --stupid or not stupid--anti government or pro-grovernment. This liberty has to extend to all in this country or it means nothing. A truly strong and stable government of the people, by the people, and for the people has nothing to fear from crticism.

Hugo Chavez knows communism has failed and will fail, but it's the only system that may give him absolute powers.

This is why he doesn't allow critics.

By the way it is rumoured that Chavez pays people to surf the internet all day to whitewash him when someone posts something against him/communism.

I love the way you Fairness Doctrine..Chavez loving hypocrites use Chavez as an excuse for behavior FDR routinely engaged in..in the old days you'd wind up dead..buried in your backyard..like O'Hare

it used to be that way here..now we have the internet..
and nobody gives a squat about slander laws anymore..

the Washington Post shut down their un-monitored message boards after them being around for 10-12 years..this week due to a lawsuit

Personally, believing that we live in the best country on the planet, I think anyone - citizen or not citizen, who doesn't like it here, should be shown to an open door. Contrary to practices in some countries, we are free to come and go. However, I also believe in the Constitution, therefore, any malcontent is free to verbally criticize the government.

Will you slow down, you didn't give anyone a chance to answer! I, like most "neocons" protect a person's right to free speech. When it insights terrorist acts that's different of course. Like what Clinton and some others have said in the past, they have inspired terrorists and given aid and comfort to the enemy. Oh wait, that's ok by your standards right? I will prove my point about the left being against free speech and the Constitution...

Your an idiot.

There, I guarantee some free thinking, accepting of all liberal will report me to yahoo. The left does not practice what they preach.
