Reliever. He's locating his pitches and throwing 95 mph in relief. When he has enough arm strength he can try starting.

Kerry Wood will be used as strictly show in the Cubs bullpen. After a couple warm-up pitches, he will then throw out his arm, the trainers will rush out, there for providing entertainment for the crowd.
Okay, sorry. I think they'll try him as a starter, then move him to the reliever, because I don't think he'll be able to go six innings and be effective. However, since he hasn't pitched in so long, I think he'll eventually be used as a reliever only to be used if the Cubs are winning by a lot, so it won't matter if he gives up a lot of runs.

He will return to Cubs as the reliever that he need more times to improve his arm injury. He need to spend few times at pitching as not more than 100 pitches in a game. He could try to pitch more than 20 pitches as avoid get the arm injury again. He would return to rotation next year as the starter.

The Cubs would use him as a relief pitcher to save his arm. Many believe he won't be able to throw more than 30-40 pitches a game without risk of injury.

He'll be a reliever if you want to call him that. I give him no more than 4 weeks once he's back with the Cubs to go on the DL again.

He should be a reliever. I think his starting days are over to be honest about it. I like Wood. He just never had the endurance to make it.

I am guessing he will initially, at least, come back as a reliever. He will have shorter outings that way, putting less wear on his arm and allowing him to work back in gradually. If the arm holds up and he strengthens enough, he may then go back to starting. But that's only my guess.

He is going to be a reliever. He is unable to pitch multiple innings. I am looking forward to his return. He should be one heck of a reliever and maybe give the bullpen the boost it needs.

I don't know if Kerry wood will ever pitch again in the big leagues. If he can pitch he should close to take some strain away from his arm.
