My period is almost 2 weeks late. I had my son almost 15 months ago, before him i always knew when my period was gonna start and end. Since having him, though, I haven't kept track. I finally got online and started tracking it and it is almost 2 weeks late. My Fiance and I haven't really been haveing sex all that much and even when we do he doesn't "go" inside of me. I wouldn't mind it if I were pregnant, but I really don't think I am. I just wanted to know if anyone knew of any other reasons why it could be late besides being pregnant.

Ok, so yes there are reasons other than pregnancy why your period might be late. Some of them include stress, being sick, losing or gaining a lot of wait, etc. First think about whether or not any of those things apply to you. I've also heard that breastfeeding can affect when your period starts up regularly again. Have you been breast feeding lately or have you just recently stopped? Have you recently lost a lot of your baby weight or anything like that? Are you really stressed out or sick? If your period is usually regular though and none of the above reasons seem to fit, then I would consider taking a pregnancy test just to make sure. You said that you and your fiance have been having sex some lately but that he doesn't "go" inside of you. Do you mean that he doesn't ejaculate inside of you? Even if he doesn't ejaculate inside of you, if you aren't using protection and you have intercourse, you can become pregnant because pre-ejaculatory fluid can contain viable sperm. So if you are using withdrawl as your method of birth control, that probably isn't the most reliable method. So yes, even if he is "pulling out" you can still become pregnant if you're having intercourse, even if it is not that often, and you should consider this as a possibility. I would take a pregnancy test to make sure. If that is not the reason, go see your doctor to find out what the reason could be. Hope this helps!

Breast-feeding can make your period irregular. If you have any questions or concerns, you should ask a doctor. When you take your son in for his well-baby check-ups, just ask that doctor. She/He'll be happy to answer any questions you might have. Never feel embarrassed. Better to know than not know.

stress, weight gain or loss, change in hormones....
I would at least quit relying on the "pull out" method and get on the Depo shot.
I am not a fan of the pill or the patch.
If you are pregnant after all...congratulations!

It's a waste to ask these questions. Take a pregnancy test. I'm always amazed to learn that grown women don't realize that penetration isn't necessary to become pregnant.

Stress can be a contributor. Give it another week or so, then if nothing, take a pregnancy test or see your doctor.

Stress is a biggie.
However, if you have had sex even once this month, you could be. Even if he didn't "go" inside.
