No gender of baby is based on conception. The sperm that penetrates the egg deciphers the sex of the baby.

If you want to try to pick the sex do before based on when you have sex according to ovulation time. Male sperm (X chrom) swim faster but die sooner Female (Y chrom) sperm live longer and swim slower. Therefore, for male have sex on day ovulating; for female have sex 2-4 days before ovulating!

Impossible. The sex of the baby is determined by which sperm gets through the egg first. Some sperm carry the XY chromosome which makes a boy and others carry the XX chromosome which makes a girl. The instant conception occurs, the sex of the baby is already in place.

Good luck!

No. Since the sperm contains the genetic determiner for gender, once conception has occurred, the baby's gender is decided. Prior to conception, the Shettles Method has a better than random rate of one gender over another (something like 72% success, last I read).

LOL. No. The baby's sex is determined at conception based on whether an X or Y sperm fertilized the egg.

AFTER conception? No. Once sperm and egg meet, it's done--gender has already been determined.

And before conception, unless you are using IVF with ICSI or PGD, there is no reliable way to determine gender.
