I have a hot and cold fill washing machine, just noticed that the hot water pipe does not appear to feel hot even though I have had the emersion on to get the water pre-heated.

The connections are on totally and not kinked, I have tried turning off the cold taps for the machine, and all I can hear is a faint noise as though the hot is not getting through peoperly.

Do I need to open the connection to the machine for the hot and see if it's an air pocket problem?

Servis Machine recently has had a new drain pump fitted.

Most wash programmes fill exclusively from the cold fill pipe and let the machine heat the water. You will not find many new machines with a hot fill pipe anymore.

We had a Servis AND a Candy and they only ever used the hot fill on the 95 degree setting. At all other times, the fill was always cold water and just the heater.

It sounds like all of you are from Europe. All U.S. washing machines have cold and hot water service and if you do too -
remove the hot water line from the valve and see if water will come out of it and if so, look to see if the filter screen in the inlet is clogged with something that can be cleaned out and if not......replace the valve.

Could be that the filter inside the hose connector is blocked, or the electric water inlet valve has failed. Are you selecting a HOT programme, a cooler wash will not take in any hot water.

First, confirm you have hot water in the house. Next, follow the line to or from your washer and make sure no valves are off. If it's none of the above then it's a bad solinoid.

THEY FILL FROM COLD WATER PIPES ONLY apparently, unless you have machimne thats older than 13years...
When mine was installed I questioned why I had two pipes (a hot and cold) when only one was actually validly being used.

How come there are sooohh many people & companies trying to rip us off these days????

it might be a problem at the boiler end.. well sounds like it

do you have a 3 point switch on the boiler, they go after years.

they are a sealed unit with a ball bearing in , its not moving up and down i'm guessing.

you need someone qualified to look at it.
