He has thrown for almost 4,000 yards like 4 or 5 seasons in a row... I am in a pointless debate with my roomate over this.

I'm probably one of Trent's biggest fans and I love the way he plays the game, but no, he's not a hall of famer. I'm like shortdude above me - a Chiefs fan with a man crush. He did great things for KC and might end up in the Chiefs Hall of Fame, but I don't think he'll be making that trip to Canton. I'd love to see him have 3 or 4 really great seasons in Miami that might earn him a better shot at getting in, but I don't think he has that much time left on the gridiron and I'm not sure that would even get him votes - unless he won a superbowl or two and maybe an MVP award. That's a long stretch though, seeing as how he's never won a playoff game.

The only way he could make it into the HOF is if he threw 40 TDs won MVP and won the super bowl with the Dolphins.

And I'm a chiefs fan who has had a man crush on him for the past 5 years.

At the moment? No. It is the Hall of FAME not the Hall of NUMBERS. Let's be honest, how many recognize the name? Ok here is another thought, say he didn't have that concussion last year. How many outside K.C. would remember who he was? Doesn't mean he wasn't GOOD it means he wasn't a big name.

No, He hasn't done anything special to deserve that honor.

Unless you count that hit he took last year. Wow!!!! That was one of the hardest hits I've seen on a QB in years! How many fingers am I holding up?

Wow, definitely not. There are a ton of better options out there ahead of Green.
