I'm not even fully convinced that it's a musical category or trend yet. I think it's more like kids wanting to be "gothic" but couldn't quite make it there. I have nothing against people's lifestyles or how they want to look and dress, but I can't stand the constant whining on here about being emo... too much drama.

Emo isn't really a trend...well some people only follow because they think its cool. But I disagree....with that statement u just said. Or are you talking about the music? Ok and not all emos cut themselves...some do and some don't. I am not emo but I am friends with some. So I really can't speak but the ones I hang out with don't cut themselves...and I still defend them because they are people too! So what if they are different. Behind all the eyeliner they are really nice and sweet people!

I just think most teenagers listen to what they hear on the radio. I don't think the real "emo" has a future.

The emo scene will do what the hair metal scene in the 80s did...it will kill itself, but much faster.
