A form of horse racing known as steeplechasing (this comes from the early days of England when the young men would race on their way to church-known as chasing the steeple). It is fairly dangerous, with the horses jumping ditches, logs, and brush fences and falls are common. A successful steeplechaser (horse) can race for longer then flat racing. It is more common in England, but it is done in the US.
