My breasts have never ever been this sore and swollen. I do not have any signs of menopause. I don;t think there is anyway I could be pregnant. I feel like I could start my period at any moment, but nothing is happening. Whats going on? No stress, no problems, I am healthy.

You are likely going through peri-menopause which does all sorts of weird things. If you are really bothered by it, make an appointment with your gyn to make sure there isn't something awry. Sometimes cysts or tumors on ovaries can cause weird symptoms because they are shooting out hormones. While I do know one couple who became pregnant 11 years after a vasectomy, that is so rare that I would not consider it a possibility that there are any sperm.

I don't know how old you are, obviously, but screwy periods can be an early sign of menopause. That's how my mom started actually. For him to have had the surgery that long ago, I really think it's almost impossible that you're pregnant. Take a test if you want, but I think the chances are very unlikely.

It's advisable to check it out, anyway, and confirm either way; vasectomy is known to have failed, and, even after all those 17 yrs, the male part (sperm) could do wonders, unexpectedly!

Pregnancy is always a possibility. See your doctor and let him tell you what's going on. Good luck to you.
