People have this misconception that because DB is so famous, he must be this prolific goalscorer. Unfortunately, that's not the kind of player he is, and that's why I'm worried that some "new fans" who are giving the sport a try are going to watch him and be like, "Where are all his goals?" DB is an excellent player, but it is highly unlikely that he'll hit 20 home this season.

20?!? No, but he will score at least a few. Beckham at 32 is still way better than 3/4 of the competition in the MLS.

No, Beckham is mostly a free kick specialist, and assist guy. He may score some goals on free kicks and penalty kicks, but he will not score 20 goals. There is only about 20 games left.

I don't think he's here to score 20 goals... more like bringing in 20 million bucks, at least, to the club.

I do not think so.....but he can have a total of 20 assists and goals together....Still half the season left.

But his presence may sell tkts, jerseys, shoes etc....but he
cannot make soccer popular....

I even doubt Galaxy can even make playoffs, let alone winning
the MLS. They are places last but one.

I doubt it. The team doesn't look that much and their performances reflect the position they're in. Beckham isn't an out and out striker; pin point crosses and free kicks are his specialty.

no! is the simple answer to that.becks wouldn:t score 20 in a bad pub league, yanks might be suprised when they realise that these spectacular free kicks happen about once every ten matches at best.
