A-Class is the very 1st Mercedes Benz front wheel drive model.
The refined A-170, (in Malaysia we only have A-170 and A200turbo), overall is much better then A-160, but in a little female car like that, you don't expect performance like the W210 or newer kompresser models. Being in A-170, it is a SUV, of course with the Benz's standard of comfort and safety. But it is a 'fashion' car, a model unlike other Benz models that can be expected to live 'forever'. Benz is considering to replace this range with the 'B' class, in view of the preasure and competition from other car manufactures, such as BMW, Audi etc.
Value of money? Depends on your point of view, after all it dose bare a 3 point star, dosen't it?

Well, so far I've seen only one in my area (Abuja, Nigeria). While this car isn't popular in Nigeria I must say I'm in love with it's smart looks...better than the previous one. I wonder why the A200Turbo has an autobox as optional instead of standard. Can't wait to see what AMG and brabus will do to it.

Compared to the old one- much better.
But I'd go the B class to be honest- the A class is too much money for a fancy Fiat Punto.

Well overpriced in my opinion.
