What is the best soft song that is not, I repeat NOT a rap or rock song? (Nothing from soft rock either, I just can't get into it with the bad singing). I like songs like "Hurt" by Christina, "Whiskey Lullaby" by Brad Paisley, and "How do you get that Lonely" by another country singer. Country and other sad soft songs are good, plain instumental is good, rock is bad. Any suggestions?

i suggest you check out these 2 sites:

http://www.100tunes.com/blog/2007/06/40-songs-to-help-you-get-over-it.html

http://www.mpfree.com/blog/2007/07/top-40-love-songs.html

they both list 50 songs...i think you will find a lot of what you are looking for.

i'd particularly recommend:
“Sticks and Stones” –Dave Barnes
"Pieces Don't Fit Anymore" -James Morrison
"Let That Be Enough" - Switchfoot
“I’m Movin’ On” – Rascal Flatts (and, "What hurts the most")

and then i think this is pretty much the saddest song of all time: “Goodbye My Lover” – James Blunt

There is lyric in our mother tongue. It says that
Till ur home your wife comes, Till the street your son comes,
after you go the grave yard who comes with you.It simply says
that what ever we earn in wrong ways we don't take anything atlast. It is for all of them in the world
