I have done this question about 15 times and i dont seem to be getting the right answer. So please tell me what to do.
What is the volume of a right cylinder with radius 5 cm and height 6 cm?
everytime i do it i get 471. but thats not one of the options.

Yes, im sure. The question wants me to get the answer in cm3(cubic cm)
Does it being a RIGHT cylinder have anything to do with it?

The answer is π*5^2*6 = 471.2 cm^3 as you obtained.
I don't know how they got those answers, not one of them has π. Are you sure those answers are for the same question?

I'm going to say the only way one of those answers can be right (and one ought to be, eh?) is for either a) the answers are listed as shown but are stated prior to their listing as being whatever they are times pi (so that M. would be 27Ï and not simply "27"; similarly, Y. would be 150Ï rather than just "150") or b) one of the input dimensions (5 or 6) was actually divided by Ï: 5/Ï or 6/Ï.
Since b) seems implausible as it would be very hard for you to not notice it, I will suggest examining the problem list for a). The fact of the list, L. through Z., suggests there could be initial material dealing with the list and then you have some number of problems for which the answers will be found on the list. If so, and you should look into that carefully, your answer would be Y. 150. (Since 5^2 * 6 * Ï= 150Ï, if the answer set is all "values * Ï" 150 would be your answer.)

V = Ï*r^2*h
V = 3.14*5^2*6
V = 3.14*25*6
V = 3.14*150 = 471 cm^3
If you use 3.14 for Ï, you get exactly the answer that you got. Are you sure that you are using the same units that the problem is asking for? The answer you got is in cubic centimeters, but perhaps they were asking for something like cubic inches, cubic feet, or maybe gallons?

Your answer is correct, as long as the answer is in cm^3
volume = pi * r^2 * h =
3.14 x 25 x 6 = 471 cm^3
Are you sure the answer they are looking for is in cubic centimeters?

Vol. of Cylinder = pi * radius^2 * height
Vol. = pi * 5^2 * 6 = 471.24 cm^3
I agree with your answer.

V = Ï r² h
V = Ï x 5² x 6
V = 150 Ï
V = 471.2 cm³
I agree with you---should I be worried?!!!!!
