What do women want?

Question

I'm doing an essay for an English class..
and I'm obviously quite clueless on the subject...
So.. yeah...
What do women want?
Fame?
Security?
Fortune?

Also, what do women want from men, in general?

Let's throw another card into the hand...

What do women think men want from them?

Answer 1

I want security. I want to feel safe at all times, and be loved by someone.

What any one wants.
Acceptance is the number one human need.
Also, we need something to want, period.
We need our basic needs met, but for there to be a little something missing.
Like any person, when we get everything we want, we get bored and want somethign else.
"You only want what you can't have".
But that something we can't have needs to be something small, like the flowers the guy never brings, not for the guy to stop doing drugs or beating us, you see?
The thing is, since nobody's perfect any old way, you'd better believe we will always have something missing.
So, as long you respect yourself and are not some sappy pansy, we will respect you and long for that little something extra.
And one last thing-
DON'T TELL US HOW TO FIX THINGS WHEN WE CRY!!!!!
When we're upset, just let us be upset.
Tell us you know how hard "it" is, whatever's wrong, and that we're wonderful people, and we'll figure out how to deal with it later, because we're too darned upset right now anyway.
Tell us we'll make it OK later.
The more you try to fix things, the more it seems like you just don't care how we feel, and are commanding us, rather than supporting us. It's like THROWING SALT ON A WOUND. (Sorry, I can't do italics on this site.)
Just be quiet and soothe us.
That's got to be one of women's top pet peeves, and as you can tell, I just went through it about three days ago.
Sorry to be so long-winded, but if this message gets through,
we'll be doing a lot of good for a lot of people.

Contrary to popular belief, we're not all the same. Some women want power, like an executive position or a VP position in their careers. Some women want family. Some women want fame. Some women want independence. For me personally, I want a nice rewarding career that pays enough for me to not have to worry about bills, a loving husband, caring and interesting children, lots of travel and fun, and some down time to read or sunbathe.

What I want from men, or my man in particular, is an understanding partner who treats me as an equal and enjoys discussing matters instead of arguing about them. I am lucky to have a very good communicator in my boyfriend, as well as someone who never hesitates to tell me what I mean to him.
