How do you feel about this odd trend?

Why is this trend happening, it seems unlikely for a women to this?

What should be done to prevent this?

I have thought about this. I think it has to do with women with low-self esteem who can now get the "popular boys" at school when they previously could not, or, women who are addicted to the imagined power of showing a young boy "the ropes" of sex so-to-speak.

As high school virgins, I think most women are afraid, but by being essentially "given the chance to do it over again," THEY can be the ones with the power and experience.

However, all of these examples or rationalizations all boil down to a lack of esteem.

As to the boys/victims, I think their lack of coming forward right at the suggestion of sex from a female adult is due to the pervasive sexism in our society: that boys should not complain if a woman wants to have sex with them, the whole "promiscuous girls are sluts/promiscuous boys are heroes" phenomenon.

A young girl having sex with an older male teacher is looked at as a victim with pity. I think if a boy complains about a female teacher offering sex, they feel like they would be looked at as "fags" for not going for it, instead of being looked at with compassion as the victims they really are.

As most issues like these in our society and especially schools, it is a fix that would require deep changes that most people are unwilling, or basically afraid, to make.

It's an odd trend but I question it's been happening for years and just under reported. Is this an unforeseen offshoot of the sexual revolution. I mean there have been female teachers for well over 100 years. Male teachers and female students has been going on for years. I remember our band director had married the lead flute player and moved to a different district. As the details came out it bacame apparent even to blind people that this had been going on for years.

But in the last 20 years, we've heard of female teachers seducing male students. Maybe it's the taboo factor. The "hot teacher" fantasy has been around for years. Van Halen even did a song about it (Hot for teacher). All guys can remember one or two teachers from Jr. High or High School that they would have liked to get together with but they were untouchable.

You can't just reverse the trend of women seducing young men and leave men to seduce young women as that taboo subject that no on talks about. Maybe you need more careful screening for teachers because there has to be some psychological markers all of these educators share. How do they deviate from the other people who teach everyday? Answer that and you can screen these people out or at least put plans in place (like having classes team taught) where it can be caught before the deed is done.

It has been happening all along is just that now they're being reported. I say that the students are lucky and the teachers are just having fun. There can't be anything done to prevent this, is what happens sometimes between an older female and a younger male with raging hormones. It happens the same with teenage girls and their male teachers. Worrying about this is a waste of time, there are a lot of males that slept with their teachers and are fine, no traumas.

in the last generation of male versus female the female has always been the on ewho did nothing wrong ! well intoday age , we are finding that equality is a forgoing force the reconed with ! as women and girls will if not already learned , they are just as guilty as guys are in their sexual behaviour! for the last several decades it wasnt polite to render the face of a female on tv or anywhere else for that matter as to a crime they have doen! whenin fact most crimes women have done were either covered up , thrown out of court , or just not reported in the first place! but today it is becoming more comon for a woman to find her self in jail for what has been done ! in the past ( say 30 years ago if a male said he was raped it was just ignored and laffed at ! today that is becoming a thing of the past and guys are finnaly getting what has needed to come for a long time!
case study , you have been held at gun point and raped , now how do you report it and better still how do you tell your wife you didnt like it in the first place????
these crimes are now only coming to the surface because of it being done in the school systems , but it is a thing that happens everywhere ......school , workplace , park car, etc....guy's are not the only ones guilty of committing crimes of sexual nature!
it may be said that guys like it all the time and females hate it all the tim e, wel that just isnt true! now is it girls?

Damn, I missed all the fun. Where were these teachers when I was in high school. Just kidding, I think they should get the same punishment that a male teacher would get for having sex with a student.

I sort of wonder if this thing has always happened and we're just now learning about it. I guess it just proves that men aren't the only ones who are given to deviant behavior. I don't know what can really be done to prevent it, though. Perhaps the best we can do is have the teachers psychologically examined, though that's not foolproof.

There are likely more that are not getting caught. I find it repulsive and disgusting, but no more disgusting than when male teachers do their female students.
Women are getting lighter sentences and treated as though statutory rape isn't a crime. WRONG WRONG WRONG!
