I currently have two male painted turtles. When i got them i thought they were one of each sex. I later learned they weren't. I wanted to breed them but I'm not sure where I can find a female because I got my other two from my cousins. Does anyone know if pet stores sell painted turtles or any other place. Thanks.

It is really hard to breed pond turtles (Painted, red-ear Sliders, etc.) in home set-ups. You usually either need specially designed tanks or an outdoor naturalistic habitat.
