Both my daughters were born naturally. 6 hours for my first and 2.5 hours for my second.
Saying that my best friend's labours were a nightmare. Her first was 44 hours and second 31 hours! In my experience of friends labours whether induced or not the second one has always come quicker.

3 hrs 15 minutes for my first daughter. Natural labour (started at home with my water breaking at 6 a.m.). Natural progression of labour in the hospital. Time of birth 9:15 a.m..
1 hr 6 minutes for my second daughter. Gave birth six weeks early. Went into labour at 12:20 a.m. after going to the hospital for unexpected pains (not labour). Have you ever tried to give birth when you have taken a sleeping pill? Gave birth at 1:26 a.m., and only managed to stay awake because the anaesthesiologist anaesthetized me too high up, and I felt everything they did to me, including the episiotomy.

my first was 9am til 5pm, like a day at work lol! i had it easy -trust me, with my second i went through 36 hours of labour only to end up have an emergency c-section and my third was 20 hours labour!!!
pregnant with my 4th and really hope the labour is like my first!!!!
labour can be over in min's or last days, my friend was in labour for 2-days but not "established" labour, established labour kicks in later, early labour is not too painful!!!
don't worry! your baby has to come out so there is no point in worrying!!!
good luck x

It can totally vary from child to child... I haven't had any kids yet, but I know how long my mom was in labor with each of us. Her first labor was 20 hours, then her second was 17, then her third was 4, and her last (that's me) was 27. So it seems to me that there isn't really any rhyme or reason to it if you go naturally! She had been hoping the last baby would be easier, since it got easier with the other tree, but it ended up being her hardest. I hear about it alll the time.... :) Good luck!

my first was 12 hours my second from the first contraction to her delivery was only 4 hours. Now Im pregnant with my 3rd and my dr. wants to induce me because of my rapid delivery with my second. I have to drive 45 minutes to the hospital so he prefers that I not have her on the interstate. I'm hoping being induced won't make me lay in labor for 3 days. LOL

I was one of the extra special mommies, I went into labor on a friday afternoon aound 1pm and didn't go to the hospital until sat @ around 1am, (my water had broken and I didn't have a clue). I was kept but only dialted to 1cm, I labored until 1:22am Sunday when I was taken in for a emergency c-section so when all was said and done I had been in labor for 36 and almost a half hours. Remember that every pregnancy and labor is diffrent.

hmmm what do u class as labour. i was in the hospital 12 hours before i got regular contractions as my feet were huge and i was worried, she did an internal as i was over my due date (i could swear she gave me a sweep) any way she said i was 3cm dialated and to go home. so if u count from that point then i was in labour for 24 hours but if you go from when i went to hospital with regular (and painful) contractions then it would have been 12.

i had all 4 of my children natural. my oldest ds was 7 hours from start to finish; #2 ds was 4 hours start to finish; #3 dd was 5 hours, but VERY quick at the end--she was almost born in the motel when they told us to go home 'cuz i hadn't dilated enough (yeah, right! we lived an hour away.) And #4 dd was 1 hour and 53 minutes from my first contraction. i have babies pretty quickly;-) It varies from person to person, and what kind of shape you're in, as well as how many children you've had. I did LOTS of walking. Good luck!
