yep one of my co-workers had a Chrismas in July party. Seemed very odd to me.

Oh yeah! Every year I watch Christmas in July on QVC. I wear my Santa hat and we drink spiced cider and sing carols, and I buy all kinds of gifts for my family and then lose them by the time real Christmas comes around, so I have to do it all again! Actually, since I'm a shopaholic, it's kind of fun! But I sure have a lot of mystery boxes in the garage!

One time when I was in the USA, I was surprise to see the stores alight with Christmas decors- I think it was around June/July. Perhaps, something to let consumers know it a good time for early Christmas shopping- that's the impression I got. I think it would be better. however; to leave Christmas for Christmas time. That's my opinion.

Not really, but I was in a shop the other day and I heard a Christmas song playing. I don't think it was intentional, someone probably put in the wrong cd!

Yep. I was at a camp ground in a motorhome last weekend and another motorhome was all decorated. They had a small tree out with lights on it, a wreath on the side of the r.v. and stockings were hanging from the awning!

No, but I have seen them putting up the Christmas decorations and Thanksgiving hadn't happened yet.

when i first moved out of my parents house we found a christmas tree still up in the front room, so decided to invite the parents round for dinner, christmas dinner, we didn't tell them.
gave them hats and crackers and stuff, played party games, even went running down the street with ballons between our knees and stuff.
it was a great way to introduce our respective parents to each other, and our 'independent adult' way of life.

Here in my hometown they have been celebrating it for about a week now. This past Thursday there was a Christmas in July concert downtown.
