Doesn't Innocent until Proven Guilty mean anything to anyone anymore? I mean come on the guy is just a reporter and he's trying to play a cop's job.

What Chris Hansen is doing is the same thing as finding a man with blood on his hands in a house with a murdered guy..you don't know if that guy killed him or not. Innocent until proven guilty!!!! people come on!

I think what he is doing is OK, but the fact is that these people are not really chatting with 13 year old girls. How can you be convicted of a crime of trying to meet a 13 year old girl for sex, when you were really chatting with an adult. It's kind of a trap and I don't mind if he exposes the predators on TV, but I don't see how they can be convicted of a crime for soliciting a teenager when it never really happened.
I also believe these guys when they say it was the first time that they had ever met a young girl in person. Have you seen these guys? Total creeps. Have you seen the decoy?? Totally cute (and actually 19 years old posing as a 13 year old). Now what cute 13 year old girl would want her first sexual experience to be with these retarded looking scum bags? These guys may have tried to meet a 13 year old girl before, but were unsuccessful. That is until they met the adults who actually played along with their pursuit and chatted back at them about sex...then actually invited them to their house. That very rarely would happen in real life. These guys are so ******* stupid that they actually believe a young girl would be interested in their old creepy asses.
On the other hand there are watchdog groups that are catching real predators. I think that is great. I just don't think that most of the guys that dateline are catching are real predators until the adult decoys get them so sexually charged that they are willing to risk everything to check it out.

so then I assume you would object to ALL media coverage of ALL suspects, defendants, etc. until AFTER a guilty verdict?? The media covers arrests, arraignments, first appearances, etc. all the time. Why do you think you see the guys ducking down or trying to cover their faces?? I'm not particularly for or against To Catch a Predator, but why single them out??
