It is proven the brain is wired slightly different in utero in gay people, therefore, it is not a choice . However, there are people who are not truly gay who can just experiment as in college etc.

To answer your question, let me give you an example. If you are straight and I ask you at what point in your life did you decide you wanted to be straight, what would you say? It would probably be something like, oh, I've never made a decision. I've just always been this way. In other words you were born with that sexual orientation. It will never change.

Gays and lesbians are born with their orientation and they also can never change it. However, until they reach their sub-teens (or later) they usually don't realize and accept it.

The spirits of mother earth? My Aunt's Subaru? The pocketbook I used to love to carry when I was a little, nancy boy? The rainbow that formed over my head when I was just out of my mother's womb? Does it really matter?

(In all honesty, to answer your question, it's probably hormones in the womb during a mother's pregnancy.)

DNA, Genetics, body chemistry and a great deal of just plain good luck of hte draw. Kind of like when an oyster makes a pearl. I feel we are in some way superior to heterosexuals, like we are choosen for something higher.

The current theory is that it is caused by the hormones you are exposed to as a foetus. It is not genetic, or at least it does not appear to be genetic.
