Manny's like his own comedy act out there. He's always smiling and laughing for no reason. Did anyone see that play where he dove to try and cut off a throw from Coco that wan't even intended for him? He's constently loosing his helmet on the base path. Someone should get him a chin strap before he gets hit in the head.

I think he's one of the most likable players in the game for exactly the reasons you stated. I love the batting helmet flying off, the ill-fitting uniform, and the joy he seems to have for the game.
I guess it works for him, because he's going to find himself in Cooperstown soon after his retirement. I'm not a Sox fan, but I love watching Manny and find it hard to cheer against him. He gets overshadowed even on his own team, but the man is a true superstar.

He's one of the few players left that remebers baseball is a game. That's one of the reasons the Red Sox are popular nationally, they have fun and compete hard. Do you think the Yankees have that much fun day in and day out?

He's pretty funny off the field too. I once came across pictures of him teaching some girls how to dance. I say less time on the dancing and hair and more time figuring out where the ball is actually going.

as a redsox fan i agree with you and enjoy watching him play. He not only has fun on the field, but in the duggout as well, he just a all around good guy and is good for the team and leauge.

I'm a yankees fan and even though I hate red sox. He is cute and funny. And to the girl that says he should shave his head. You should wear a mask cuz you ugly!
