Can you help with my first apt?

I am moving into an apt by myself for the first time. What are the things I need to take care of? I am clueless!! Well, not completely, but it helps to see what you all think :D

It's a little 1bdrm in a four family flat.

getting your mailing address updated with the USPS, arranging new phone service (if you're going to get at land line), depending on whether or not you have to pay utilities getting the utilities in your name, finding out how to dispose of garbage, seeing about the possibility of changing the locks (if your landlord didn't already do so)...
