The Reds' Jack Billingham served up Aaron's #714. IIRC it went into the stands and was caught by a fan.

If you mean Aaron's 715th, the pitcher was the Dodgers' Al Downing, and Braves reliever Tom House (in the bullpen) hauled it in.

I think you may be thinking of 715 which was given up by Downing, and caught by Tom House out in the pen. As others mentioned I think 714 was caught by a fan.

Ironically Hank Aaron wore #44 and the opposing pitcher wore #44......he was Al Downing of the LA Dodgers
