Chryslers are excellent cars. All cars these days are reliable and well built. Its a matter of which suits your tastes and your budget. I have owned three new Chryslers has have family members and they have all been great. NO problems at all. The new Sebring is a nice looking car. I think you will find it to be of high quality and very reliable. Take if from someone who has actually owned Chryslers and not from people simply giving you an opinion based on false information.

I also have a Chrysler Sebring convertible - an '01. purely difficulty we've had is the starter motor required alternative (coated by making use of an prolonged guarantee). Daughter has an '06 steer sparkling of Caravan with which she's had no problems as much as now. we've been a Ford kinfolk for 3 generations - those are our first Chrysler products. so some distance we are happy.

The Sebring is a pretty nice car, espcially if you are looking for a nice comfortable ride. If you want fuel economy, get the 2.4L engine. You might consider getting a limited model (which you can get with the 2.4L I think) so you can get the nice leather seats, they are much more comfortable than the base cloth seats. I think you also get a nicely padded center armrest with the leather seats. Also, the heated/cooled cupholder is awesome. I know, it seems like a gimic, but once you've used it, you'll never know how you lived without it. I love it. The I-pod connection is pretty darn cool too. The thing is awesome in the snow too, the tires are very grippy there. I think the only thing I don't really love about it is that it's not too sporty handling. But I guess that's what you get when you want a good comfortable ride, and that's a trade off I can live with.

Yes Chrysler makes good cars for the most part
Every manufacture has a few lemons and bad designs or flaws etc....
you have been very vauge as to exact model year and equipment ... like many who ask these sorts of questions here...
model year, engine size (litres), type of trans, sub model designation etc will allow me to check things like,,,
Factory Technical Service Bulletins, and or recalls for weak points or design flaws etc. and what the fixes or or which options to avoid when buying that particular model...
for example there might be 3 different motors available and one might be a lemon and the others ok...
I could tell which are the two good ones...
Chrysler has always been on the leading edge as faras technology and took some risks that other manufacturers didn't in hopes of gaining sales and better products often with great sucess like that of the Hemi engine design which has had great success from its interoduction in the 50's all the way to the new current revised designs of 2007...
give more info and I'll get back with better output

I have owned 3 2001 or newer Chrysler products and had no mechanical issues. On the 2005 300c I owned I was disapointed and had electrical problems as well as fit and finish issues. The chrome on the door handles was blistering at 2 years old and the window visor clips are notorious for breaking.I also think Chrysler goes cheap on interior parts. The Sebring is a nice looking car but I have heard issues with them do your homework before you purchase. Also since the dealers like to offer auction price for trade ins I wouldn't pay more than low book for the car.

The Sebring has been doing well, partly because of the styling, and partly because the 4-cyl is available on the higher priced models, so it gets good gas mileage. The 3.5L 6 is also an excellent engine. The 2.7 V6 is unreliable.
Chryslers are good solid cars, and they'll last, but they're a better deal used. They don't have very good resale value. That's a good thing if you're looking for a used one.

The Sebring is a mediocre car, at best. It's high point is its appearance and styling. For the money you will spend on a Sebring, there are many other vehicles out there which represent a better value for your dollar.
