Okay so yesterday I was playing with my keyboard (the piano keyboard) and I use a plug instead of batteries. My older sister was being stupid and was trying to find the plug for her electric typewriter so she started trying all the plugs she could find to see if they would work with the typewriter. After I was done using the keyboard, she took the plug for it and found out it connected with the typewriter. But it didn't turn on.

I never used the keyboard for the rest of the day.
Now this morning, just now I tried turning on the keyboard using the plug. I pressed the on button and it wouldn't turn on. I've tried almost everything like holding down the button and putting the plug in different outlets but it still won't turn on.

Can somebody tell me what happened and how to fix it?

Will it work with the batteries? If it is OK then the problem is with the plug. And since it didn't work the typewriter it could have shorted out.
May need a new plug

I may not have enough details to answer, because "plug" isn't a very descriptive term, but if you're talking about a "wall wart" style AC adapter, there's more to compatibilty than just the size of the connector. They have different voltages, different amperages, different polarities, and some are AC and some are DC. I don't know if using your adapter with a typewriter could have damaged the adapter, but it probably wasn't good for the typewriter and it may have been bad for both. First, make sure she brought the right one back to you. If you're sure it's the right one and it still doesn't work, you may just have to go to Radio Shack and get a new one. Just be sure it has the same specifications as the one you have. Take the old one with you and ask an employee for help if you're not sure. And ask your sister to never use it with her typewriter again. It could have just as easily ruined her typewriter.

Your sister may have fried the cord by using it with another devise but that other device should be damaged as well.
Try using the batteries. If they work still, then it is not the kieyboard, but it is the cord.

get it tested or try to replace the cord.

Does the cord or the outlet you use has its own fuse?
Or can the safety for the outlet (whatever system you use) have kicked in.
If either, replace the fuse or switch the safety back on.
