I saw a spoiler last thursday and didn't take it seriously, then when I started reading I realised the spoiler was true. I was disappointed, but I think it let me get on with ready it and not worrying too much about what was going to happen. I was just happy Harry didn't die.
So, how many other people saw spoilers by accident?

Mom_of_boys, I can teel you that a website called DeepDiscount.com posted their books early and many people received them on the tuesday or wednesday. The spoiler I read was completely accurate, so, disappointingly, those people did not lie.

Hi Zachmir! I think you saw the same spoiler as me. I can understand your eagerness to read the last book though. I just would have rather found it all out in order rather then that list of deaths. Lucky I only remembered Burbage, Moody, Scrimgeour died and saw that the 3 lived, so it wasn't truly ruined for me.
We don't have to worry about it anymore though! It's all in our heads.

I got spoiled by accidentally reading the comments on a Harry Potter news story... all it said was "Hedwig dies, Harry's a Horcrux"... since Hedwig died so early, I knew the whole book that Harry would end up being a horcrux, which would have been a huge surprise for me. :(

I did- on Friday. All it said was that Harry lives with Ginny and sends his son to Hogwart's. I guess it relieved a little tension for me, but I also took into consideration the fact that a lot of people were posting false spoilers. So I tried not to get too excited about it while listening to the book. I guess the spoiler I read wasn't too specific and was really the shortest synopsis of what happened, so it wasn't that big a deal.
It didn't stop me from enjoying Jim Dale reading this amazing book though! I loved it! I cried twice (Dobby and Fred).

I did. Just after I posted a question on taking a break from YA in case I encounter jackasses who'll spoil my reading fun. BUT.... I came across this bloke recommending piratebay and I got so curious if it was the real deal. I downloaded the bittorrent version thinking that if it was just something a fan wrote, it's still worth reading. Voila! It turned out to be real. This chap took pictures of the whole book and you could even see the hand holding the pages! So what was I going to do? If I was one of the test subjects in the Marshmallow Test in the 60's I would have failed miserably! I succumbed to temptation and read the whole thing!!! That was less than 2 days before I get my reserved copy!!!
So I read the thing for 8 hours, my eyes watery from too much exposure to the computer monitor (I didn't bother to print since I have my reservation), my back aching from prolonged sitting but it was still worth it!!! When I got the book, I still devoured every page as if I was reading it for the first time.
Totally awesome!

I logged on to yahoo one day and someone with an ID I'd never seen before had sent me a list of all the people who die. I don't know if they're actually true or not as I'm not reading the book, but if I had been this would have completely ruined it for me.
What is this obsession with ruining the book for people who are excited about it?

I saw it and they claimed to be the spoilers but I just thought, you know, another person faking it ha ha. But it turned out to be the real thing. Yes, I too was disappointed. I (from that spoiler) learned who died and who didn't. THat was pretty sad but I'm so glad the 3 didn't die!!!

ALL of the so-called Spoilers were liars... they were just guessing and trying to start drama... if you believed what they were saying that's your fault.
