Actually, I don't care who it is. Its animal cruelty, plain and simple and if he's charged, then he shouldn't be allowed to play. Now if convicted then he should spend some honest time in prison. No one ( not the president or anyone is above the law,,, even if they think they may be.

I know it's 2 different sports, and the situations are different, but if Barry Bonds is being able to play, pending indictment for perjury then why are they crucifying Michael Vick. Just like many people have said about Barry Bonds, innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
I think that the NFL needs to let a court of law settle the Michael Vick situation, then if he is found guilty after his day in court then by all means immediately suspend him even if it's in the middle of the season or 5 minutes before a game.
If Vick is found innocent, and the NFL sticks to their current plan with banning him from camp, (1) He is rich enough to walk away from the game, if he is pissed off enough (2) Turns around and sues the NFL, both are possibilities.

A federal indictment just about equals a guilty verdict. His only hope is to somehow plead out of a felony. This seems unlikely due to the fact that the Feds are pissed about the local authorities seemingly protecting Vick, and the public outcry over the nature of the charges. Vick's only hope seems to be if he will sing like a canary against those who might be bigger players in this national dog-fighting/gambling racket. Even if that happens, Vick will get a year suspension, and never get another dollar of endorsement money (like he really needs it anyway!).

I don't think that whether he not he should be allowed to play is even an issue . I think that from a very practical perspective he will not be able to play. The NFL & the Falcons will have to provide extra security for him at all the games, every other question that he will get asked will be about the dogs, and at some point it will no longer be practical or safe for him to continue to play.

No he should not. Also I hope that Nike drops his sponsorship. If they do not, my family will never buy anything from Nike again
If Vick is aloowed to play this season, then there will be no NFL as far as I am concerned

If they find him guilty, he'll be banned from the league and he'll serve 6 years in prison. I'm not loosing sleep if I'm him. he has 40 million in the bank that can collect interest while he is on the inside. hell at 5%, he'll actually make 12 million dollars while he is in jail. Plus he is being paid to stay away from camp right now. I'd jump on that.

If he is found guilty, his career is over...He'll be in prison for 6 years...If for some reason he is found not guilty(which at this point really isn't gonna happen), he can resume playing with the Falcons, not to mention sue the DA's office...but it looks like he's guilty...A grand jury doesn't just wrecklessly hand out serious charges without good evidence...

Yes, until he is proven guilty. If he is proven guilty, he should at least be suspended for an entire season, or I might even say, banned from the NFL for life.

If he is convicted, he should go to jail just like any ordinary person would and never play again.
If not, then there is no reason for him not to play.

I don't think he should, but the NBA let Kobe play while he was in court proceedings for raping that girl.
