I mean as a mets fan i think lo duca is overrated.

It would be worse, Pizza is older now, too many injury issues, and he has no ability to throw out a runner. The Mets have a solid catcher in LoDuca.

Not by much. Lo Duca is batting .265, Piazza is batting .287. In only 110 At-Bats. Lo Duca gives them durability and fills up the spot that generally doesn't hit well (Don't include Joe Mauer here)

Piazza is getting old. Lo Duca will be better in the long term because Piazza is in his decline. He was a great player though.

I think you're nuts. Mike Piazza was an incredible player for the Mets. He was the heart and soul of this team for years, but he's finished. LoDuca may be overrated, but he's a far better option than Piazza at this point. LoDuca is perfect for the #2 hole, taking pitches, not striking out, moving runners over and giving Reyes a chance to steal.
You want the truth? The Mets would better off if they fired Willie Randolph.

if anything lo duca is underrated and mike piazza sucks now. Paul lo duca is so much better.

Mike Piazza of today is no better than LoDuca, especially defensively. Piazza is too old now. But in his heyday, Piazza was the beter player, offensively & defensively. But, LoDuca is by no means a hack despite his current hitting slump.

Not thet good if Piazza was playing insted of LoDuca. LoDuca is younger and hes probably beter.

piazza in his prime vs loduca in his prime then YES piazza
but rite now...wtf are smoking??
piazza is washed up. hes old, has knee troubles, and pretty much CANT CATCH ANYMORE
loduca is young(er) and a better hitter right now than piazza
