I’m a Dem, and it’s getting embarrassing.

Mr. Feingold, a CENSURE!? Grow a pair and impeach the bastard or shut up.
Non-Binding Resolutions!? Why? For what?
Giving up on the Troop Withdraw!? Let the Republicans filibuster until Christmas, it’s on them. Let them Close down the Senate.

In my opinion, FDR, Jack & Bobby Kennedy, and Martin Luther King are rolling over in their graves. I just wanted one candidate last night, to say, “this debate is stupid, I've actually got work to do” and walk off the stage.

"Hate her or not, Hilliary did run a portion of the government during her 8 years in the White House."

Acutally she ran it for a year, then tool a pay off to keep quiet for the other seven. You're right she does have 'experience'.

"The purpose of the debates was merely for the individual candidates to get name recognition on a national level. Simply by not participating, no matter how mundane the debates may seem, would spell campaign suicide."

Over strategizing. This is our problem. Public Opinion is on our side!!! We don't need a strategy anymore, we need action.

yes, really. Censure? Isn't that a slap on the wrist?

I liked Sen. Gravel last night. He said "Wake Up!" The leading candidates are all in Wall Streets pocket and nothing's going to change if we keep electing the same corporate whores. (not exactly his words, but something like that)

Feingold's not even running for President, but he's certainly showing courage. He knows the censure resolution is unpopular and may affect his own popularity. But it will force Senators to put their criticisms or endorsements of Bush on the record.

An impeachment would never succeed. Senate Democrats can't even get the 60 votes Republicans are always requiring before a bill can be voted on. There's no way they could get 67 to convict the President. There are just too many partisan Republicans who put party over country. Impeachment proceedings would be a complete waste of time.

The debates are to inform the public, and it's our interest to watch some of them. They've all had silly aspects such as the old Air Force One in the background of the Republican debate at the Reagan library.

To answer your question about which Dem candidate has the mettle, I'd say anyone in the top tier does: Clinton, Obama, Edwards or Richardson.
