I've been taking Cymbalta for about 2 weeks every morning and still the next morning I have so much trouble getting out of bed. It is working GREAT for my restless legs but I'm curious if anyone else has had this very sleepy reaction. Plus, I can't get motivated to save my life! Please share your experiences?
I could easiy sleep the entire day away with no problem.

SSRI's make some people sleepy. I am one of them.
Try taking it earlier in the evening. A few hours before bedtime.

You have to call and tell your doctor right away. My friend takes it and has the same problem. She gets dizzy and has fallen, too. I don't think either of you should take it, to be honest. It seems as if the dose that's effective turns people into sleepy zombies. My friend is afraid to drive now, which is not good, either. She is weaning herself off of it, you're not supposed to quit all at once. Please call your doctors office and let them know.

I'm pretty sure that's a reaction to the drug. You might want to talk to your pharmacist or doctor again to see if you can adjust the dose. I have RLS but haven't taken anything for it.

maybe the dosage is to high...i'm also on cymbalta.....

it may take time to level off also...

i find that it helps me sleep better at night!!! which is good cause i've always had problems sleeping.....

talk to your doctor...they may suggest more time...taking the dosage down or switching....

GL!!!
