If I were you I wouldn't waste anytime in reporting these guys to the website administrators. This is a big-time scam and you need to stay away from these guys. A true business man does not solicit strangers on the internet to cash cheques for him, he has a staff to do that already.

You can't be serious here. These are OBVIOUS scams. What will happen is YOU will cash the cheques and forward a money order to others with the proceeds of the cheques. In short order, your bank will receive the cheques back as invalid, and they will demand that YOU repay the shortages. Meanwhile, you will never hear from any of these men again.

I think, no, I know it's a scam. They'll arrange for fake/phony cheques to be sent to you and then you will forward real money to them (they might even let you keep 10% of so of the money for your time and trouble). By the time your bank informs you that the cheques you had received are fake/phony you have already sent the scam/con artists the money, and you won't be able to get any of it back. And you could also get in legal trouble with your bank for depositing fake cheques with them. Word of advice to you, report those men to the abuse dept of the dating service, and find some other men.

I agree with everyone else. Bring a friend with you. You're going off visiting a guy in a totally different state. If things were to fall apart, how would you get home with no car? I also support to always stay in public places. There are probably even things that his friends and family don't know about him. People can sound totally normal over the internet, and become different when you meet in person. You don't really know someone until you've spent time together.

You are just about to be scammed and become involved in some serious fraud involving stolen and cloned cheques!
It can take a while [up to 3 months] for the bank to find out they are cloned, this will be after you have forwarded the cash, and YOU will be liable to pay all monies back and will be investigated by the police!!

Don't get involved...dating site are for dating, noy money laundering. You could get into lots of trouble with the law.
Don't do it & break it off. If someone does it for them, & you are a 'friend' they will come looking for you too.

Er....No, i don't think this is a good idea. Ask why they would want to do this and if it involves any of your money then it's even more of a 'no'
Ask for his company registration number and his VAT registration number (or the U.S equivalent). If it's legitimate then they shouldn't have any reason not to explain their reasons for wanting you to do this for them.
Tread very very carefully...............
