I had the same problem.
Just understand this,
you know will know more about what you are going to talk about than anyone listening.
You are the expert!
It only takes a little practice and you can be very good.
Self confidence builds.
I once was so shy that I blushed when called on in a meeting.
I now would take a mic at any opportunity.
You can do this!

I do a lot of speeches, and find that the better I know the material, the more confident I become.

If you need to do a lot of public speaking then I recommend you checkout Toastmasters International.

To Calm that heart, you should learn a good "grounding" exercise. There is one on the source I've listed.

Relax! (easier said than done).
One thing that helped me when I had to make a public speech that terified me was to summarise the points over and over, until I could fit them onto the rear of a single business card, which I was able to hold in my hand. Then I wasn't worried about leaving something out. The task of summarising and re-summarising took my mind off my nervousness.

yes and it gets worse if you don't fully understand what your talking about,

be confident about your subject, know it inside out.
and stick to your lines and you will be OK
