I don't like Hillary or Obama , but in all honesty , Hillary spanked Obama like a Radical Islamists step-child !!!
But then I watch the input from focus groups , and over-whelmingly they picked Obama as the victor ???
I'm at a lose for words as to how they see it , and thought I'd ask you .
Everything I hear from Obama is nothing but 'words' minus any substance . So how does he fool so many people just based on words, charm and charisma ? Charm and charisma have little to do with anything that I'd be looking for in a candidate , so maybe you guys can explain this to me .
Thank you .

CVQ - Yes , there was a question or two about you . And they were authored by none other than our friendly over-reactive 'Jim W' !!
don't feel bad though , he did it to me on 3 or 4 questions .

My friend you should know liberals and espsically liberal democrats help no one but themselves, yes ellary spanked Obama, but then he must like abuse as he walked right into it. How he fols them is Oprah's endorsements, and his smiling face.

Obama and the YouTube debates were geared toward a younger audience - 30 and under. Obama has always done well with this demographic. I haven't heard of any Democrats with a net worth over a million support him. This will be his downfall. There are basically two different factions of the Democratic party - the first is what the hate bloggers commonly refer to as socialist bed wetters. Think young college students or artist types. Then there is the second faction which is the hyper educated elitist which really runs the show. For instance, my parents are of the second faction. They were very involved in the party and were staunch supporters of public education - meanwhile all of their children went to private school. They are ardent supporters of civil rights but somehow have never ever lived in a racially integrated neighborhood (excluding the help). Do not doubt my parents genuine concern . . . they are passionately concerned about the working class. However, they have never been part of the working class . . . From various social functions, the second faction overwhelmingly supports Hillary and perhaps Edwards. A few are threatening to leave the country of Obama is elected.

I missed the debate.
But I honestly have a HUGE problem with presidential candidates taking questions from a snowman puppet. Republican or Democrat. I really do.
"Unserious" as a descrption does not do the sorry act justice.
PS I didn't see any questions about me - yet. I try to keep things on a substantive, not a personal, level. Except for a friendly comment here and there.
To each his own, I guess.

I wish I could help, but I was working and missed it. I'd like to know how Joe Biden did.
I don't trust Hillary. I actually like Obama; But I fear he's lacking experience. Also, he might possibly just be charm & charisma- why folks like him. BTW, that confuses me too. I don't see Hillary's charm. They must really be voting for Bill.

I can only tell you my opinion as a moderate democrat. I think what makes Obama so appealing, at least to me, IS his inexperience. When I hear from these veteran politicians, I think '100% lip service' When I see a new face, it gives me hope that perhaps here is someone just impressionable enough to actually represent us and not himself. Don't get me wrong, I'm not fooled by it and he doesn't have my vote yet, but I think some will be fooled.

Obama's "words minus substance" fits in with candidates on both parties, dontcha think? Hillary performed best and knows the most.
Now, about that caustic note I got:
From ET/phd
Message: Jim , you really blew-it this time . You'll be blocked soon and here's why .
First , I did answer your question . I pointed -out that there is no connection because kids don't listen to talk radio . Period .
Second , because I got a violation notice for it , and unjustly I might add .a
Third , because you may not know this but I rarely get violation notices and when I do , Yahoo has restored my points almost every time . And because you didn't know that I rarely get violation notices , you also didn't know that I can tell who's giving them to me !! Suddenly , I've gotten 5 in the past week . I don't get 5 in a month Jim .b And the common denominator between my recent violation notices and who has always been there.. . . . is YOU .c
You get too emotional , you let you're anger get the best of you ,d and you break the code all the time when you post questions about other users .
Here's another thing you didn't know . . . . . I don't report , instead I BLOCK others who do nothing but try and damage my account e.
Good-Bye .
a I say that about myself
b I get whiny violations from conservatives all the time!
c blame me for everything why dontcha!
d- LOL! pot/lettle/black
e- ooh Im shakin' Im scared of big bad Earnie
Im just sayin it cuts both ways!
Also, note I got Monday:
From: tangerine
Subject: Check out my 360!:)
Message: If you had your 360 set up, we could be linked!:) I can't believe how nuts Earnest T. has gotten! He used to be cooler and more mellow!
He USED to be more mellow!

I wont vote for either of them myself. If the Dem's nominate Obama for their candidate for President in 08 the Republicans will beat him. If they nominate Hillbillary there is unfortunately a good chance that they will the White house. I hope Obama get the nomination, because he will lose and we will keep the office. I don't want to buy socialized medicine and that seems to be all the Dem's are selling.

with Libs it's not about the issues but having the first woman or black in office.
Since Hillary has such an anger problem, I think they believe the crackhead is the better choice.

Hillary didnt give much substance is hasnt as of yet she hasnt told us what her health care plan is and last night she actually said she was "waiting for america to be committed to healthcare." Tell that to the 48 million people who dnt have it. Obama is ahope feeled guy but atleast he has given us his thoughts and plans on the major issues. You may have not heard them last night but if you look pay attention to the news find his plan for the big issues.
I thought it was Bidden Gravel Obama and DK who gave the most substance.

If you bothered to listen to what they were saying, and consider the, the ideas they have, you wouldn't have to ask. Like mentioned by Slapnut, you don't like democrats, so it doesn't matter what they said, you will always find some way to justify belligerent rhetoric against them.
Obama clearly had the views of the American people in mind. He always has. I should know, I write him several times a month.
He knows there needs to be a change in the attitudes in Washington, not only on the opposite side of the aisle, but on his own side as well. And he is the one, if any of them to promote a change. This is something he comments on in nearly all of his replies.
After all, Hillary is waiting for "US" to be committed to something before she does it? She has been a politician far too long!
