Well, I dont see Manning being cruel to animals. So, lets use something like multiple DUI's, like the Bengals Chris Henry. No, I dont think anyone would rally for his suspension, there may even be people that protest it. The thing is Vick was hated by alot of NFL fans for the "obsence gesture" and not playing like a traditional QB. Notice when Steve McNair got in trouble, everything was pretty much hush hush. When technically he still should have been suspened because neither Pacman Jones, Chris Henry, or Vick for that matter have been convicted of anything. But Henry and Jones have been suspened and Vick will be. And this was not the first time McNair has been in trouble with the law. Its going to be nice to what happens if someone like Manning or Brady get into trouble. But Vick was already hated so it makes it easier. So, to answer your question, No. It already happened with McNair.

Well, let me just say I would have some kind of remorse for Mr. Vick if this hadn't been his first offense; he's had the following:
- Bringing a suspicious water bottle with apparently a secret compartment to an airport
- Vulgur acts at a football game towards the crowd
- Knowingly giving a female herpes
I can't let him slide; I'm tired of people with millions of dollars acting like such jack@sses and I DO NOT like animal cruelty

Animal cruelty is a crime, however this is America. Isn't everyone supposed to be "presumed innocent until proven guilty"? Why is he being judged/punished before he goes to court??? I would feel this way no matter what color he is. Then if he is found guilty, he would have to pay the price.

Oh don't start that race crap here. Yes, if Manning were accused of animal cruelty, he would asked to keep away from training camp too!

Please don't bring the race thing into this - the NFL has a VAST majority African-American 'population' - how in the name of heaven can race be a factor in the suspension of ONE player? Don't you think that Troy Vincent would be all over this if he thought that it were a wrong move on Goodell's part? Let this play out - we will know shortly what the Feds have on Mr Vick.

I sure would hope so. I think anyone who is famous and does something that terrible will be investigated. The media hopes for this because it gives them stories and they make money

My friend, I would hope so. I would hope that no matter who does it, regardless of their ethnicity, their fame, their race, their culture, that they would pay dearly for their crime. For this crime, or any other crime.
And I'm sorry it's come to this, that someone has mentioned the race card on this event.

Yup. I don't care what color he is, how many games he won...it doesn't matter.
There is no excuse for animal cruelty!
