As the powers that be remove the middle class, drive wedges into the populace and work behind the scenes to enslave us. Will we ever wake up, or will it be too late???

Tom.....You're looking at it through partisan glasses. The Socialist agenda is just a way to get people "accustomed " to the idea. This administration is no worse than the last 15. The E.O.'s and Directives this admin has declared are slowly progressing the same agenda: Globalization. It will be done with Corporations, not the U.N. or the Hague (though they will play their parts well) ......

We no longer have a government that REPRESENTS THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE..... sad,but true. Big Business RUNS OUR GOVERNMENT,and that's exactly why our country Is suffering through the worst time In this nations history with regard to just being able to get from paycheck to paycheck. Somethings got to give.....

You're the one that needs to wake up!!!! It sounds like it's way too late for you. Have you ever traveled to another country and saw the devastation, poverty, famine or inequalities there? Why do you think that this country is always the one that is called upon to lend support and aid, be it financial, military, humanitarian or otherwise? Why do you think you have the freedom to speak your mind? If you lived in most other countries you would be imprisoned or beheaded for even speaking your mind. This Govt. isn't perfect by a long shot but at least I have the right to say so!!!! Everyone calls the USA a bully! Then why are we the first ones they call on when they need help of any kind? It sounds to me like you're living in the wrong country! If you don't like something the Govt. is doing get off your dead *** and change it. If you can get enough people to agree with you and vote. Then it can be changed! Isn't that amazing. How many other countries can you do that in?

I understand your frustration unfortunately not enough Americans travel so they have no basis of comparison. Its like the kid that is the smartest person in his school until he goes to a school where there is a lot of other smart students then he suddenly realize he is just average.
I have travel all over Europe and the world and have always thank God when I return to the US because most countries in the world are more socialist than the US and it stifles human development
one of the most interesting theme in speaking to people from Italy to Turkey, people the democrats says do dislike us , most of them wants to come HERE! because of the opportunity they see here yet many of our fellow Americans what to emulate them.

95% of all the the written contacts I have had with government (be it municipal, state or federal) have had either a warning or a threat of fine, interest and/or penalty at the bottom of the letter. 100% of the contacts were for money, my money.
Even the Veterans Administration threatened me with punishment when I assumed the responsibilty of my father's affairs (pensions & paying of his bills) after his Alzheimer's disease destroyed his brain. I understand their concern, but they assumed i was going to misuse my fathers resources.
My last thought, No they are not a friend!

I can understand your frustration but being a democratic country, one ought to understand that a democratic government is of the people, by the people and for the people! So, people like you can use the ballot box to change the power house!

We are the government. We are who we elect. Get out and vote or run for office yourself. Write to your state Congress representatives.

But the government IS your friend....
If you're too lazy to work...
If you're so stupid that you believe you can build your house anywhere you want, and that when natural disaster occurs it's the government's fault and that they have to bail you out....
If you're in the country illegally...

Many of us realized that years ago. We are called conservatives or libertarians. A few Republicans are conservative, but not very many.
