I need to re-iterate the question again. Does it affect conception? And does it really make it difficult for the sperms?
And what is the difference between yeast infection, thrush and bacterial infection?

I can answer you only to one part...

the infection and the treatment (using vaginal medicaments) will not harm your chances to conceive. a pregnancy may be possible without risks...
the only problem you have is that the sperms will find obstacles to swim and it is harder for them to find their goal...

I am facing the same problem and my doctor assure me that will not be any problems to my fertility.

Keep trying and think pink!

A yeast infection doesn't affect fertility. Some infections such as chlamydia (which is an STD) can affect fertility. They can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) which can cause scarring of the fallopian tubes and that can affect your fertility. Yeast infections are not STDs. They can be caused by lots of things. You can get one from wearing a wet swimsuit too long or from taking antibiotics. The bacteria that cause yeast are normally found in the vagina, but sometimes they will grow too much too fast and that will result in a yeast infection. If you think you have a yeast infection and have never had one you need to see a doctor to make sure that is what you have. If you are getting them frequently (more than 3 in 6 months) you should also see a doctor, some diseases (like diabetes or problems with your immune system) can cause you to have problems with yeast.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

a yeast infection and bacterial are definitely different and as far as i know they do not affect fertility as long as you don't allow to go untreated for long periods of time. a bacterial infection (usually spread by not wiping properly-should be front to back) is easily treatable by your obgyn. and of course yeast infection treatments can be purchased OTC so neither is that big of a deal as far as permanent damage to womanly parts. only answering this from past experience as a woman though, not a professional.
