ok I'm not a fan of harry potter the books or films but just want to know who dies in the last book?

I've only read part of the 1st book not my cup of tea, i don't know all the charachters but out of harry and his 2 best mates which one gets killed off? there has been so much press about it it's like who shot JR or Phil Mitchel.

Basically, what happens to a few of the characters is:
Harry - Survives. Marries Ginny and has 3 children (James, Albus Severus and Lily)
Ron - Survives. Marries Hermione and has 2 children (Rose and Hugo)
Hermione - (Same as Ron)
Voldemort AKA Tom Riddle - Killed (by Elder wand).
Fred Weasley - Killed when a side of Hogwarts collapses and crushes him.
George Weasley - Survives. Loses an ear.
Neville - Survives. Becomes a herbology teacher.
Mad-eye Moody - Killed during flight.
Lupin and Tonks - Killed in final battle. Before this - Married. Had 1 child (Teddy - Named after Tonks' father, Ted)
Snape - Killed by Voldemort. Turn out that he's a good guy.
Hedwig - Killed in flight.
Wormtail - Killed by his silver hand for having mercy upon Harry.
Draco Malfoy - Survives. Marries (unknown who partner is) and has a child called Scorpius. Not enemies with Harry anymore.
Dobby - Killed by Knife thrown by Bellatrix Lestrange. Saves Harry, Ron etc. lives

Voldemort, not Harry. Some other characters too, like Dobby, Fred, Remus Lupin, Tonks, and poor Hedwig.

If you didn't get into the first book then read the 3rd book first - it's much easier to get into. It might make you want to read the rest of the series?

You really should read it your self. I mean if you really want to know you will read it. Since you are not a fan I am assuming that you haven't read most of the books so the names of th people who die won't really make any sense to you will they so why on earth do you want to know!
