I am 37 weeks pregnant and I think my water is leaking, The last few days I have had a thick white mucus discharge, but today it looks like water its clear but doesn't smell like pee, and I dont feel anything coming out at all my panties are just wet She is still moving around in there but i am having some contractions and a little bit of lower back pain. I have a doctors appointment at 1:30 and when I called they told me to wait until then, what do you think?

I think you should wait until then! They'll test the fluid and tell you if it is amniotic or not.

I would wait till your appointment. You have lots of water that I am sure there will be some left by the time you get to your doctors. Unless you contractions get alot worse and more frequent. I have been having some leaking for a few weeks now and have been to the hospital like 3 times to get checked to see if its my water and it hasnt been so far. But good luck to you

If your doctor told you to wait, then I would just wait until your appointment. If the contractions get closer than 5 minutes apart, then I would call the doctors office again and tell them that you are just going to meet them at the hospital. It sounds like you are going into labor, but at this point it could take a while, so if the contractions aren't too bad and aren't too close together then I would just relax at home until your appointment. Good luck to you.

I think that you should try and wait but if the contractions become more intense or closer together then you should not wait until the appointment and go straight to Labor and Delivery. If your baby is ready to be born she is not going to wait until the doctor's appointment.

wow to the first poster; my water leaked and i never got contractions until they induced me. if you really want to know if its leaking; take off your pants and undies, and walk up and down a hall way, or around a room. if anything drips down your leg, yup, your water broke!! i think youre ok waiting until this afternoon for your appt though, its only a few hours, and if you already called and thats what the nurse said; just dont have sex, take a bath etc until youre seen. they will be able to test and see if it truly was your water at your appt. good luck, and congrats!!

You did right by calling. Just wait till them and wear pads. But get ready because you will be having a baby either tonight or tomorrow, how ever long it takes you to dialte. They will put you in labor because the baby can get bateria if llft to long. I am surprised though that they didn't say go up to the hospital. Good luck and your going to meet your baby really soon!

Go to the hospital cause once all your water is gone, the baby can suffocate due to the lack of her breathing environment. Congratulaions and God Bless.
