I personaly have a PS3 and its the best i've seen graphics and gameplay wise - but what are your views?

might be cheaper but PS3 is the cheapest blue-ray player on the market and it plays games with better graphics quality btw blue-ray will beat hd-dvd hands down

At the moment 360 is the best, better games, better on line etc. Who really needs a blue ray just now anyway, it'll be a year or two before blue rays/ HD DVD's are common place and by then they'll as affordable as dvd players are just now. However the ps3 is fairly new so it could very well catch up with the 360 and maybe even surpass it. Everybody will have a different opinion and bottom line if you like the ps3 best then that's fine as it's you that's playing it so it doesn't matter what anyone else says. Personally i prefer the 360, happy gaming.

Unless you have the equipment to get the best out of the PS3, the extra quality is pretty much wasted.
The problem is that the mass market do not have the technology and cant afford to go out and spend lots of money to get the best quality.
I had the choice and realised that even though the PS3 had better graphics. I wont be able to see the difference becuase my tv wont handle it. Coupled with the fact that they have basically the same games i chose the 360.
The same goes for the movie side. A normal dvd is good enough for me.
The technology that the PS3 boasts to too advanced for the nromal home. You cant appeal to the Mass Market if the technology you use is not the industry standard.

I have both consoles and at the moment i would have to plum for the Xbox 360 as it has been out on the market for longer and has much superior titles. They have had longer to hone the graphics card and get the best out of it.
Ps3 will catch up with it but i bought the Ps3 for the movies and boy do they look good on my Panasonic 50". I have always thought that Xbox has been better for gaming and the 360 proves it. Just wait till the next Xbox comes out in 2009. The Xbox revolution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

having got a 360 and played a ps3, i would say the ps3 is better hands down. as like you say its the cheapest Blu-ray player on the market and can out perform the 360 by a million leagues.
PS3 all the way.

xbox 360 is better, better gameplay and games

its a simple as this buy an xobx 360 for $500 and watch it destroy itself and return it.
buy a PS3 for the same price and it wont break down on you.
people who say they like the 360 couldnt afford the PS3, but now its the same price.
go for the gold get the PS3
you want to buy games and accessories for your system and then return everything when it crashes buy an XBOX360.

I have PS1-PS3
I was told that there are more games for xbox360, and they are also making more as we speak.
I was told that they are not making many more games for PS3 and we both know that aren't many good games out for PS3, but Resistance! And maybe the racing game.
But i will always have PS systems over XBOX since I am used to having PS systems...
