Maturity is extremely important in a marriage. Without it, there's tons of misunderstandings, selfishness, and possible arguments.
Make sure you and your partner are mature, before stepping up to the alter. It's a lifetime commitment...
Too many naive' people marry thinking, "They'll get better, eventually".

Very important. You can't be selfish in marriage at all, you have to give a lot. And from what I know about immature people is they are also selfish. So I'd say you have to be pretty mature to have a successful marriage.

Extremely important. Knowing when and how to compromise. Picking your battles and understanding teamwork and good communication are key factors. Loving and accepting the whole person and not trying to mold them into what you want them to become. Maturity encompasses all of this.

I dont think it is necessarily a maturity thing, I believe alot of mature people get married and divorced, Human nature seems to be not to settle down with one person, few mammals do it for life,

I have never heard any commentary about a one year age difference. Most of skepticism seems to be expressed in these "May to December" unions. The 35 year old waitress with no advantages in life marries the 60 year old financially established businessman. The motive is clear to everyone; except, the guy. Or gal in a reverse example. Again, a one year difference is not material.

VERY important. Being a single Dad engaged to a much younger woman, I can honestly say that it was fun in the beginning, but eventually, it was like having another NEEDY teenager around.

This is very important. My first husband was one of the most immature people I knew and it did not work out. You get sick of always having to be the "adult."

It's very important! We don't need two ignorant people raising kids and making immature decisions.
