Have you ever done this test whereby you were asked to stare at 9 squares arranged 3x3 for a while and then you shift your stare to a blank white wall. Those squares magically appeared on the blank wall. Is it there or is it just your mind playing tricks on you?
The same goes with the ghost phenomena, if you watch too many horror and ghost movies, those image will be burn in your subconscious mind. When the time is right, your mind will play back those images to you causing you to see what is not there at all. There's no such thing as Ghost but there is a dying need for Human to want to believe in Supernatural phenomena.
It's so hard for human to accept death as the ultimate end and there's no continuity beyond the grave.

What proof is there that Ghost exist?
The so call proof such as having out of body experience by some individual whom doctors pronounced dead but later on regained consciousness might just be the mind hallucinating during that transition but mistaken for something supernatural.

Some even believe that ghost can be clairvoyant and can predict the future like how many kids you're gonna have and if they are brunette or otherwise. Have anyone heard of the word Coincidence.
Alas....you believer will still continue to be believer despite that there's no evidence at all that suggest ghost do exist

there is.
and i do understand your point of view that our brain can conjure and produce images from our subconscious mind. and our eyes would translate it as a ghost...or an apparition.
but how do you explain images that you've never seen before, suddenly i.e. appear next to you? or the people you know are dead, showing themselves to you?
hmm....i guess you need a levitation. a good one. or watch someone being exorcized. then you would know some things can be real. but thats not coming from a man made ghost like frankenstein or the vladimir the vampire. please.
the supernatural is one thing-an entity of its own and the so called 'ghosts' are another. they're the tormented souls which hangs between the sky and the earth.
for me, i do believe there is more after death and ghosts do come from the grave, love. where else do you think they come from? our heads? i think its you whos been watching too many horror flicks, perhaps?
get out, and go ghost hunting- you'll be dumbfounded but very soon a believer.

You are not asking a question. You are making a statement. Why do you have such a closed mind. The universe and the heavens are mysterious to all of us. No one person knows all the answers. It seems you feel that you already know it all and are not open to learning from others. I feel sorry for someone that is not open to all the wonders that life and death hold for them. If you continue to have a closed mind you will live a very narrow existence. I am not saying I believe in ghosts. I am just pointing out to you that your closed mind will hinder your ability to learn!

I do believe in ghosts, but the stereotype of a ghost is not always true. I believe a ghost is a soul that has not yet accepted death, they hold on to the life they have just lived and refuse to leave behind the memories and attachments. I don't think that all ghosts are meant to haunt people I just think they linger there and some people can see their presence and are scared by it. I have never seen or felt the presence of a ghost, but my sister has and I don't see any other way of explaining it, she is not crazy, but her instinct is very strong. Anyways, this is just my point of view...

No one knows if there is no continiuty beyond the grave, thats were belief comes in . You are coming to conclusions aswell , it might be hard for u to believe there is life after death the same way it is for someone to believe there isnt, everyone should keep an open mind, as for ghosts, i do believe there is evil out there, in form of spirits etc , there has to be more than what we see everyday, there must be a better place

I'm sure there is such a thing as ghosts but the mind can play tricks on us.When I was five I saw a ghost, my great gran at my gran's house, and even though I am into horror movies and stories now I wasn't until I was bout seven so what caused that? My great gran had died before I was born so I had never seen her before, it was only after seeing a picture after the incident that I knew who it was.
No one can say for certain that ghosts don't exsist or they do exsist.

You can not compare the 2 phenomena at all!
The first example you gave is an optical illusion, the second has to do with much much more complex variables - beliefs, past experience, etc.
An optical illusion cant be used as a proof to non-existence of ghosts!

There is such a thing ghosts as I have been fortunate enough to see one on more than one occasion.
You talk about there being no evidencee to prove than ghosts exist, may I suggest the opposite, show me the evidenc that ghosts definitely don't exist!

That's certainly a possibility but you can't say for certain that ghosts don't exsist. The same goes for an afterlife. I don't believe in god or heaven but i believe there is something after death like your concience goes somewhere else or something, i don't believe that it's simply electrical impulses in your brain, there's more to it than that.

First find out who we are while living then we can think about death or after death.
We are the body or mind or spirit (Atman)?
Its easy to say we are souls or spirits but first let us get the experience of a soul.

You don't know what your talking about bud!So,people have seen things they can't prove so what!You can at least hear them out!Just because it has to happen to you before you realize its not coming just from your own mind!There are other unexplained things for as long as mankind has been here,not just ghosts!It always will be so!
