Use a mixture of lemon and baking soda.. you still have to scrub but it won't take as long.
It people like you that become inventors of great products... you should think about that. It only takes one person to say "There has to be a better way"... if there was such a product I would buy it along with millions of other people.

you could use a special tan-removal wipe such as Velvotan's Self-Tan Correction Wipes (£1.99 for 10, 01242 225720). St Tropez's Self-Tan Remover (£15, 020 8740 2085) and Model Co's Tan Remover (£20, 020 8740 20850) are also very good.

I've always found that a long, hot bath removes my fake tan almost completely - whether I want it to go or not!

I have heard that windex works well at removing fake tans. Last time I just killed to birds with one stone and I waxed whiched removed everything.

Well, if the tanning "product" would be so easy to remove, it would probably come off by itself just by your sweating or any exposure to water so what good would it be in the first place?
