Kate flew out of Portugal with her brother and sister. They are joining Madeleine's father Gerry, who is already in Britain.

He has been meeting with child abduction experts to learn about criminal profiling techniques used in the hunt for his young daughter.

could it be that he realises that the police have been profiling them,on their various interviews on tv, it would be a very silly person who would think, that the police have not been doing this

the way she shouted "they've taken her" has had me wondering too.

i also would have run back (not that i would have left my kids) and said "maddy's missing" or "maddy's not in her bed"

how did she know someone had taken her, she could have wandered out herself.

i think the profilers have been watching gerry from the very beginning. from the very start i found him a bit weird, with his unfaltering voice and his strange eyes...he is worth keeping an eye on. Maddy had DD....could this have been something they were too proud to cope with......i don;t care if i get thumbs down for this, but he looks the type that would be embarrassed having a "slow" child.

i definately think he had something to do with it

sorry it stands for developement disability. how bad this was i dont know.

Yes, the police suspect they are responsible for her abduction. And no matter what Gerry says himself, him and Kate have no one to blame but themselves.

He's he back already, he was giving live interviews here in the states a few hours ago. They did ask him about the potential of criminal charges against him. He deflected it by saying the focus should be on finding his daughter. Oddly or perhaps not he should no concern about the charges and actually seemed to be enjoying the attention. He is one strange individual.

one thing has always struck me as odd. when kate discovered that maddy was gone she came running to the table shouting 'they've taken her'.

if one of my children went missing my first thought would be 'she's gone', 'where did she go'? 'how far could she have wandered?'

i wouldnt start thinking abduction until my child didnt show up.

even if the police suspect both gerry and kate i think they would be waiting for them to slip up.

Lets await the final outcome (hopefully for the better) before making any judgement.

I think everything the McCanns do is their way of dealing with grief. Like Mohammed Al Fayed and his obsession with his son's death (and his girlfriend's). If you can afford to be that obsessed, all well and good, most of us just have to go away and deal with it quietly.

I wouldn't hugely surprised if they staged the abduction themselves just for the attention. I know i'll prob get a lot of thumbs down for this but just think about it, they change their story, contradict everything they say and it's not unheard of, people have done this before,
