I thought of this while answering a question about "cookie cutter" houses. I respect the past and am traditional in many ways.

i cant say that i'm traditional, but i do respect the past. whether its you own past, your families past or culture/countries past, it has influence you in some shape or form into being the person you are today. and you cant really see where your going unless you've seen where you've come from.

I feel like I tend to hang on to past traditions, however, recently I have found myself being a lot more open minded in my thoughts and in trying new things. New things are fun and exciting!!

I do respect the past because thats how you learn but if traditions contradict my beliefs or opinions,then id rather forgo them.

I cherish the old and welcome the new and test whatever i am considering.

I like traditional music and art that has endured over the centuries.

Yes.I take what is important and discard the outdated ones.It is my root which supports me whenever i need reference.
