Assume that y varies inversely as x, and y = 18 when x = 3. Find the constant variation.

Thanks for all your help, and to anyone who is wondering no you are not doing my homework, I am in my twenties and trying to re-teach myself Algerbra, and am just checking to see if I have come to the correct answers.

y=k/x

18=k/3

k=54

y = 18
x = 3
K = constant
Therefore, for y varies inversely as x equation is:
18 = K/3
k = 18*3 = 54
